When I was studying business management and communications in college, I wanted to learn more on how to monetize my own business while keeping the content interesting. In 2008, I become bored with my magazine and put up a front page saying we were out for the summer.
I was really confused and not sure where I was going with it and how can I refresh the content to keep the public interested. It wasn't until I began taking these courses, I began to understand the levels of marketing but also branding, two entirely different concepts when it comes to business and how it affects how you do business across the board.
I was fortunate to have professors who knew about my business and took the time to explain to me what was going to be efficient and what was going to be effective. Once I was better to able understand these terms, it was only then I was able to manage the magazine and incorporating those visions. It was like starting over again, but this time I had the proper tools to get it done correctly.
Business management is an constant effective tool. It doesn't stop once you've established your business. You may have strong following but how do you keep them coming back for more?
Ever follow a blogger on Youtube?
Ask yourself, what keeps you interested in coming back? Is it their look? How they speak? What is the content created to keep you coming back, week after week?
These are questions to think about when running your own business.
Sure we can look up business management tools online, or we can cheapen ourselves by connecting with people claiming to be educators just giving you information you can easily find online for free.
However, connecting with someone who can distinguish your brand and business marketing assets are an entirely different story.
The saying still stand true. You get what you pay for.
You will either pay someone to get generic branding, or you will pay to get the attention you deserve that pertains to the success of your business.
Stay driven to stay on top!
